Kineta Lewis-Harrison

Kineta Lewis-Harrison is a native southerner, born and raised in Alexandria, Louisiana, where her family managed a historical mortuary. A fourth-generation funeral director, she has been in the funeral industry since childhood. Upon deciding to further her career, she boldly relocated to Texas to write a new chapter. Kineta developed as a dedicated servant, having learned the funeral industry from some of the best leaders around.

 

She’s a devoted wife to a very supportive husband and doting mother of three boys. Kineta graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service with honors. She has 20 years of experience as a Funeral Director and Manager, serving at premiere locations in the Houston area. She has been recognized company-wide for excellent service, management and leadership, including “The Essence in Leadership Award”.

 

Her tenure has afforded her the opportunity to serve in numerous capacities, including becoming a corporate trainer, certified celebrant, public speaker and panelist at the company's first Women's Conference. Her persistence to improve operations was acknowledged by leadership when awarded “Manager of the Year” for reaching her goals.

Kineta is connected with her local community in many capacities, faithfully serving with local Kid’s and Legacy ministries at Grace Church in Humble. She is actively involved with the East Aldine District, Baker Ripley and Green Bayou Coalition. Kineta is a proud graduate of the University of Houston SURE program. She supports NAMI Greater Houston because of her passion for loss prevention through Suicide Awareness.

 

Kineta continues to lead by example, developing teams for success. She believes comforting the brokenhearted and celebrating the lives of the departed are the most important aspects of her mission. Kineta is a dynamic leader who ensures the success of her team.
